My Story

Angela J. Foo, Registered Dietitian and Personal Chef

I’m a registered dietitian, certified dietitian nutritionist, and restaurant-trained chef. After gaining a wide range of experiences in the food world – from editorial management to nutrition education to international nutrition aid – I indulged in my culinary passion by working in the kitchens of French, new American, and Japanese restaurants in New York City, including the health-focused, Michelin-starred restaurant, Rouge Tomate.

Working as a restaurant chef has enabled me to understand how to create dishes with flavors and foods people enjoy while being a dietitian allows me to provide clients with the nutrition they need.

I have a dual bachelor’s and master’s degree in nutrition and an undergraduate minor in psychology. I completed a supervised practice program at the School of Urban Public Health & Nutrition at Hunter College in New York City. 

My Approach

Each nutrition coaching session is personalized to focus on you. We’ll work together to create a plan that works for your lifestyle so you can reach your goals. Between sessions, you’ll have the ongoing accountability you want via text or email.
One-on-one coaching is available virtually for you to get the support you need.

Unique Framework

I specialize in combining custom meal prep with nutrition coaching so you can optimize your health and achieve your lifestyle and nutritional goals. I work with you to create weekly menus based off of your food and flavor preferences, nutritional goals, and meal and lifestyle needs. I then personally cook your dishes for you to enjoy during the week. Nutrition coaching complements the meals so you understand why you are eating certain foods and how to make better-for-you food choices when you are eating outside your home.
